Kuukasvot / Moonface
Fuck Prednisone-ryhmästä löytyy loistavaa huumoria! Olikohan näiden nukkejen keksijällä myös steroidi-lääkitys? Muistaisin, että minullakin oli pienenä oma Cabbage Patch nukke. Nyt minulla on isona ihan oma Cabbage Patch lapsi:)
Muistan kun luin sairaalassa, että steroidit aiheuttavat kuukasvoisuutta. Ikinä en olisi kyllä uskonut sitä noin voimakkaaksi, että tyttäreni omat kapeat kasvot ihan häviävät sinne alle. Lääkäreiden papereissa lukee "reilu steroidipyöreys kasvoilla". Pahin vaihe on onneksi ohi ja kasvot ovat hieman pienemmät. Tiistaina lasketaan taas steroidien annosta. Koulun alkuun vähän yli viikko.

People in the Fuck Prednisone group have a great sense of humour. Someone posted a picture of these dolls, the original moon faces! I wonder if the inventor was on steroids too? I remember having one of these Cabbage Patch dolls as a kid. Now, as an adult, I have my own Cabbage Patch kid:)
I was anxious about the moon face as a side effect when she started taking Prednison. I never imagined it to be so bad though. Even the doctors noted in the case file: Significant steroid roundness in the face. She is past the very worst stage though and is looking smaller by the week. Next week the dose is lowered again and maybe we´ll see a glimpse of the old L before school starts.
