Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3
Kolme päivää +2, joten konsultoin lääkäriä, joka konsultoi toista lääkäriä. Tyttö takaisin 30 mg Prednisonia joka päivä. Alle viikko ehdittiin ottaa pillerit joka toinen päivä ja heti näyttää huonolta. Toivotaan, että rauhoittuu viikonlopun aikana ja pissatestit näyttävät taas negatiivista. Vältetään kolmas relapsi.
Koepalaa ei voi kuulemma ottaa jos on relapsi päällä. (edit: Lastenklinikalta sanottiin, ettei ole väliä onko vai ei)
L itki tänään, että mitä jos ei koskaan pääse lääkkeistä eroon. Sitten huoli vaihtui siihen, että mitä jos pääsee lääkkeistä eroon, mitä koulussa sanotaan kun on ihan laiheliini poskistaan taas. Sanoin, ettei nyt valitettavasti näytä siltä, että heti pääsee lääkkeistä eroon. L sanoi, että niin niin, mutta ensi syksynä, kun menee kakkoselle. Voi apua miten ihanaa, jos tämä olisi ohi ensi syksynä, mutta tuskin on.
Käytiin MDD labrassa hakemassa testisetti. Tytön näytteet lähtevät matkalle Amerikkaan tiistaina. L ei suostunut tulemaan edes labraan sisälle "jos ne vaikka haluaa tehdä verikokeen". Alan ehkä pikkuisen stressata ensi viikkoa, helppoa ei tule olemaan.
Palvelu MDD labrassa on ollut loistavaa, empaattista ja perinpohjaista. Ensimmäisen kerran tuntui, että minua kuunneltiin ja arvostettiin sitä, että minä vanhempana haluan ja olen oikeutettu saamaan tietoa. Meinasin purskahtaa itkuun pitkän puhelun jälkeen, niin helpottunut olin. Olen enimmäkseen tottunut saamaan hieman alentavaa myhäilyä, ympäripyöreää selittelyä ja teennäistä hymyilyä lääkäreiltä kun olen kysymyksiäni esittänyt.
Testit maksavat 419 euroa, mutta onpahan sitten testattu kaikki. Perjantaina vielä koepala munuaisista ja sitten odotellaan testituloksia ja rukoillaan että löytyy jotain mikä helpottaisi hoitoa.
En tiedä yhtään kauanko koepalan tulokset kestävät tulla. Kukaan ei ole sitä kertonut, eikä lastenklinikan lapuissa ollut tietoa. MDD labran tulokset tulevat noin kuukauden päästä.

She has been +2 for three days, so I consulted the doctor, who consulted another doctor. They put her back on 30mg Prednison every day. Bloody hell, we took the pills every other day for under a week, and are already going downhill. Hopefully they will do the trick though, and we will avoid a full relapse.
The doctor said the biopsy if off the schedule if she relapses. (Edit: Not true, according to the Lastenklinikka Hospital)
L cried today, worried she would never get off the drugs. Then she got worried about her cheeks going narrow again, what if she would be bullied at school for being skinny again?! I told her it doesn´t look like she´s going to get off the drugs any time soon. She said, yes, yes, but when she starts second class! Oh dear, it would be great if this all would be over by next autumn, but somehow I doubt it.
We went to MDD laboratories (the American version under the link) to get a sample kit today. L didn´t even want to come in, "just in case they wanted to do a blood test".
This is a brilliant test that tests everything! The key to health, I (and a million doctor´s) believe, lies in your gut, and what ever clues to helping my daughter this test will give us, is all a big bonus!
This test evaluates digestion, absorption, gut flora, and the colonic environment, and evaluates for parasites using microscopic examination and EIA testing. The profile is indicated for all chronic GI problems, for acute bowel pattern changes, and for many systemic diseases and provides a sensitivity panel for treating pathogenic flora.
The samples are being sent to America. It costs us 419€, but then I can say we have done it all.
The service has been great, they have been brilliant with all my questions. We get the results from a private functional medicine doctor in four weeks.
